MX6 iBrid

Get ready to see hazardous levels of oxygen, toxic and combustible gas, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like never before. The MX6 iBrid™ is more than an intelligent hybrid of Industrial Scientific’s best monitoring technologies. It’s the first gas monitor to feature a full-color LCD display screen.

The display improves safety with clear readings in low light, bright light or anywhere in between. Whether the work is outside, inside or underground, it’s easy to see what gas hazards lurk in the immediate work environment. And a color display is more than eye-catching. It allows the user to step through instrument settings and functions with an intuitive menu and the instrument’s five-way navigation button. It even supports the option of on-board graphing for easily interpreted direct readings and recorded data.

Plus, the MX6 iBrid is our most rugged instrument ever. It carries a lifetime warranty and is fully compatible with our DS2 Docking Station™iNet DSand iNet™ Instrument Network

Microtector II G450

  4-Gas detector
This robust 4-Gas detector measures up to 4 gases simultaneously: Oxygen (O2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), carbon monoxide (CO) and cumbustible gases (CH4). It was developed especially for personal protection against gas hazards and is carried at the working clothes. A large, coloured graphic display provides clear readings of all data. The display can be turned 180° by just pushing a button – this allows the display to be read easily even if the detector is carried at the belt. The zoom function allows an easy reading of single measuring values and shows additional information on the selected gas. Hands free for maximum safety.

The G450 is certified to EN 60079-29-1 (combustible gas performance) EN 50104 (oxygen), EN 45544-1 (toxic) and EN 45544-2 (toxic).

Innovative alarm system
The Microtector II G450 provides audible, visual and vibration alarms for hazardous gases. The complete display changes its colour like a traffic light from green over orange to red and ensures a safe warning of exceeded alarm thresholds. The bright flashing LEDs provide additional safety. The extremely loud alarm gives warning even in noisy environments like engine rooms.

Microtector II G460

7-Gas detector
This light and robust gas detector is the development of the proven Microtector II G450. The key features are retained – smart, interchangeable sensor technology, low cost of ownership - but extra functionality is now added.

The Microtector II G460 measures up to 7 gases simultaneously in ambient air for increased workplace safety. The sensor slots can be equipped individually. Different detection principles are available for optimal measuring results.

The G460 is certified to EN 60079-29-1 (combustible gas performance) EN 50104 (oxygen), EN 45544-1 (toxic) and EN 45544-2 (toxic).

Measurable gases
The most common sensors detect  O2, H2S, CO, CO2 and combustible gases. Additional sensors are available for NH3, HCl, PH3, HCN, NO, NO2, SO2 and a variety of other gases.

CO2 – reliable infrared measurement
For increasing the user’s safety, the Microtector II G460 detects carbon dioxide by means of a selective infrared sensor (NDIR). This sensor provides long-term stable detection values. Unlike electrochemical sensors, IR technology is not subject to cross sensitivity from toxic hydrogen sulphide.

The Microtector II G460 is the smallest detector world-wide which can be equipped with both an infrared sensor and a PID.

Monitoring for toxic volatile organic compounds (VOC)
Photoionization detector (PID) equipped instruments are increasingly viewed as the best choice for measurement of VOCs at exposure limit concentrations.  Familiar substances containing VOCs include solvents, paint thinner and nail polish remover, as well as the vapors associated with fuels such as gasoline, diesel, heating oil, kerosene and jet fuel. The category also includes many specific toxic substances such as benzene, butadiene, hexane, toluene, xylene, and many others.  Most VOC vapors are flammable at surprisingly low concentrations.  For most VOCs, however, the toxic exposure limit is exceeded long before readings reach a concentration high enough to trigger a combustible range alarm.

The BM 25 packs the benefits of a fixed system area monitor into a rugged, user-friendly and transportable instrument. It was designed to detect one to five gases for mobile or temporary work applications, team protection, area surveillance or places where fixed detection systems are not suitable.

Powered by a NiMH battery pack, the BM 25 multi gas monitor offers up to 170 hours of continuous run time. Other standard features include STEL and TWA values, as well as a datalogging capacity of more than four months. Multiple units can be grouped using optional alarm transfer kits. This protects larger areas by transferring alarms from one BM 25 to the next. An intrinsically safe trickle charger is also available for long-term area monitoring in classified zones.

The BM 25 is durable and versatile. It is suitable for a wide range of industries including refineries and pharmaceutical production. Applications include turnaround work sites, rig overhauls and fence-line surveillance.
